this story is about a town that has a lottery. They dont tell you what you win untill the end of the story.Now most of the people in the story dont say much. They are all boring and say like 5 words. They tell you that this lottery is held once a year and many places do it. When they do the lottery it could take up to two day depending on how many people you have in the town. This town that the story is talking about has a little bit of people i think its like 300 people, so it only takes a couple of hours. They tell us that a bunch of kids are gathering rocks and putting them into a pile. They dont tell us what the rocks are for. When it is time for the lottery they all gather in the town square and every one picks a piece of paper from a black box. Throughout the story they make one character stand out her name is Ms. Hutchinson. Every one picks a ticket and her husband wins. Everyone says its not fair they cheated (which they didnt). Every one was mad he won but now they had everyone in his family come do a lotter and the one who gets a block dont on their ticket win. The person that won wasd Ms.hutchinson, But their isnt a prise. You dont win anything what u get is killed. They stone you to death which is why they had the kids get the rocks in the beginning og the story.
