symbol's
There are many symbols we had come across during the first 60 pages of the book. In all of these symbols I found that one unparticular popped out at me and is sticking in my head as an important factor of the book. The symbol is the book Winston writes in. The reason I feel this is a big part of the story is because during this part of the story he describes that the book is vary important to him because he can write freely in it. As writing freely is against the way they want these people to think, Winston doe not seem to care. Although he does it secretly. The book explains how he takes such caution in writing in the novel that he leaves it open so the pages with ink splattered upon can dry as how he wrote rather than a blotchy smeary mess. The character Winston makes this seem like it is the best thing in the world because he can final write down what he wants, and thinks rather than what he is always forced to think like. These pages of writing are his freedom to him and would kill to be taken away, which is the reason he is so careful while creating work in it. Symbols are a big part in books and help understand in more detail different feelings the characters can and may be experiencing.
