1984 Symbols

In the book 1984 the symbol that i picked was the Victory Gin. The Victory Gin gave off a sickly, oily smell, as of Chinese spirit. It reminds me of a nasty type of medicine that just makes me want to throw up, or even like alcohol. Just thinking about this text makes me get a nasty taste in my mouth and a burning sensation in my chest. In the book it says that it tastes like nitric acid, and swallowing it makes it feel like he been hit on the back of his head with a rubber golf club. That statement could have someone holding there held like they literally got hit in their head themeselves. I couldn't even imagine drinking something like that, that makes me want to feel like getting knocked in my head.

My next symbol is the one where it talks about the enormous pyramidal structure of glittering white concrete, and that it was 300 meteres tall. The three slogans that were on the bulding that says WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM OF SLAVERY, and IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH. The building stands out so much because of how tall it is, and because of the saying on it. What I think the meaning of the saying is that War can sometimes be peaceful or even end in peace, because it depends on how you fight. Freedom of slavery means that you can be free but still feel like you are a slave, and Ignorance is strength can mean that when you are being ignorant to someone you can think you're gaining strenth by it when you're really not.
