Symbolism in 1984

A symbol in the story 1984 would be the poster of Big Brother. On the poster it is a picture of Big Brother with these big eyes that pierce through your soul. Big Brother's eyes look at you like a hungry lion stalking his prey. The words inside the Big Brother poster say, "Down with Big Brother." This Big Brother poster shows that no matter what Big Brotger is in control; of you life, your thought,yourface expressions, your feeling, etc. It is like Big Brother is looking at every one as if letting you know do not try anything sneaky because I got eyes every where and what happens in the dark will come to light eventually. When I imagine what picture on the poster, I see a face, person, and or body that wants to be worshiped so bad, like to be a God, esspecially have power over people. When Big Brother is mentioned in the story as a man with a musctache it reminds me of Hitler. So when imaging how the poster looks of Big Brother I think of Big Brother as someone who does not try to rid of other race but someone who tries to be ruler over other countries and someone who wants to happily get rid of those who do not beieve in Big Brother and the party. I personal feel that how Big Brother looks in poster is not how he looks in real life or does he even exist. I feel Big Brother was created from all little aspects in the people like Hitler (the people that we had to do the project on before we started reading 1984.
