why do people need myths

why? i really dont know why people do or dont believe in myths i feel as thought people just need to believe in something for exaple santa or the toothfailry there far from real but child believe in them just so they have something to make to be good like my mom us to say be good or santa going put you on the notey list and for awhile i believed but now that am older it just a long wired memory in what i was thing to bealive a fat onld guy gives everyone toys for free. But for aduilt it just give them a reason to search or the bealive in something like i dont know bigfoot or lockness monster.People spend time and time searching and searching and get no were but in other myths i feel as thought god in the bible it like some people need a guide to let people know its going be ok in hard time to me in my imporint its all sience i just dont believe in a higher being dont get me wrong i go to church becuase i have to but if i didnt i wouldnt to me it just all thing people made up so they can start more wars fight and also to keep comtervers is there really is a god why dosnt he show him self but that just me.
