Close reading

To me close reading is valuable for college because it will make you a better writer. Close reading means your paying attention to whatever text you are reading. It gives you a better idea of what your reading. When i close read i start to dig deep into the text. Close reading is a valuable skills because as you get in college your reading level will get harder. You will start talking about subjects that really require you to think. It already has helped me understand more of my readings. In class you will have conversations about whatever text the class is reading. Close reading will give you something to talk about. To me close reading will always improve your vocabulary. Their has been so many times that i was reading and i skipped over a word i did not know. Or i just ignored the word and tried to make sense of the rest of the sentence without it. Close reading does take a effort on your part but it is all for the best. I see it as if your already taking the time to read then you might as well get a good idea of what your reading.
