Close Reading

I personally, think that it is important to have close reading. I say this because when close reading you can understand what you are reading. This is a better than if you were just skim reading a book that you knew was important but because you skim read the story where you did not understand what you read,you do not even know the deeper meaning of what you read. Close reading plays an important part in your life especially, when you go to college. This is so, because when you get to college you will have to read big books, novels, peoms, plays, and or the bible. When reading these books your college professor will have and ask you to read and understand beyond the text. When this happens learning how to close read comes in to play big time. The better you learn how to close read the better it is for you to be prepared for college and reading beyond the text. When in college you will be able to take a book, novel, peom, and or bible to a whole other level when it comes down to understanding what you read beyond the text. This is why close reading is important.
