The Person Who Inspires Me

It seems that almost every college essay wants you to include who has had the greatest influence on your life. My response to this question would be my family. It’s certain that almost every person submits their essay saying their family influences them. I understand that’s its best to make your essay stand out from everyone else, and you should ‘dare to be different’ but if I didn’t say my family was my greatest influence , it wouldn’t be the truth.

My family has been here for me since day one. They’re the only people I can really depend on when no one else is there. I wouldn’t be able to submit this essay without saying that my family is my number one supporters. I know for certain that anytime I need help with anything whether it’s a favor, good advice, or even a little quality time with them they will always be ready and willing to help me out. My mother, father, and great grand parents mean the world to me. They made everything for me understandable still til this very moment. Every one of them showed me in different ways that you can be whatever you want as long as you work hard for it everyone who has made it to be somebody had to work for it whether they are, singers, actors, lawyers, doctors, or any other person who is accomplishing their goals. They all had to start somewhere and this college essay will be my beginning to my future of success. My family may not have made it far but I promise each and every one of them that I will not stop no matter what. Giving up doesn’t lead you to success and success is what I am going to reach.

Regardless of how many colleges reject this essay I am certain that one of them will read it and realize that I deserve to be accepted and no matter how many rejections letters it takes none of them will make me give up on success. I will find a way to go to college. Until then my hard work will not stop. Why would you work so hard to get so far and let one rejection letter stop you ? I know your probably thinking what makes my family so much different from the rest or maybe why i have so much faith in them. So I’ll start off by saying my great grand mother once told me that it shouldn’t matter about your background or where you come from, you can be the best you can be. If you haven’t noticed yet the president of the United States Barack Obama has proven that my great grand mother was right about that. President Obama is an African American man who decided to step up and make one of the biggest decisions of his life. He did not just wake up one day and decide he would run for president. He actually spent his life working hard participating in different things and people noticed him. He stood out from all the others; he made sure every one realized his hard work. He knew deep down inside that all his hard work would someday bring him closer to his dreams and that is exactly what he did. That is what I will do starting with this college essay, I will make it as far as I can and be the best i can be because that is what my family influenced me to be.
