To me being an adult means a lot more than just “a person of a certain age.” To be an adult, to me, means being some one that can be responsible enough to handle what life throws at them. Someone that can make the right decision on their own. Someone who takes responsibility for their actions no matter what the consequences. They would step up to the plate even though they had no bat to swing with. To me an adult is someone that spent their life learning from their mistakes, while still making some. But most importantly they respect others while demanding their respect not because they are adults but because then earn it.
