What does it mean to become an adult ?

To become an adult means no longer needing your parents to do for you. It means having a job, taking care of your responsibilities, and buying all that you need on your own without anyone’s help. Becoming an adult is also being mature about things, and taking life seriously. It isn’t going to be easy but we all have to become an adult one day so why not start early so that you can see what every adult goes through. Before I would always tell my mom I couldn’t wait to grow up, and she would always say that I’m saying that now but once I knew what it was really like that I would not want to grow up. As time went by and I became the adult that I am today I can honestly say she was right because being an adult isn’t always easy. Although you get more privileges’ it gets hard at times because there’s so much more responsibility to take care of. Despite the fact being an adult is hard but at the same time is a great thing because you will learn what others go through and know the feeling.
