The topic I am going to research and that interests me the most is racism. The reason I am so interested in this topic is because it is the 21st century and it is still alive! Racism is a very nasty and cruel thing, and it hurts many people. There are many people who walk around and ask so disgusting towards people with a different skin color than them. Many people thing racism was just back in the segregation days, and that its all over with now. However, that is not the case racism is still alive and kicking to this very day and it really upsets me. Another reason why I am interested in this topic is because I have had a few encounters of racism. People would stereotype me just because Im black. They think im ghetto, and live in the hood. When in fact Im not ghetto, I live in a house, and even though im not rich, im not poor either. I have been faced with racism ever since I was little since I went to a daycare that was predominately white. Racism is very painful and can stick with you. What I specifically want to know about racism is why is it still alive today? Why are people still so nasty towards people with different skin colors? Another thing I noticed is that the more you go down south the worse it gets, I was also wondering why that is. I guess that is something the world will never know, unfortunately.
