30 Days: Immigration

Minuteman Frank George, Whose goal is to stop illegal immigration into the United States, goes to live with a family of illegal Mexican immigrants in a tiny apartment in the heart of Los Angeles.With the insanity surrounding SB 1070 in Arizona (and now the talk is that the state will try to deny citizenship to children born to illegal immigrants),not to allow illegal immigrants to remain in this country and eventually become citizens of the United States is a hotly debated issue. Passions run deep on both sides of the coin, and those positions seem to be deeply held and mostly inflexible.Frank is a pretty strident believer in that all illegal aliens should be sent back to Mexico, no questions asked. He says that the only rights these people have is "the right to be deported." In other words, he's not too keen on what these folks have gone through to get here and what they are leaving behind. To be fair, he does have the right to his opinion, which is shared by millions of other people.

What I learned is the a lot of people immigrate inleag because they couldn’t pay to get in to the us so they do what ever they can to stay in the us and more hard work.

I learn about immigration the is not a good thing but if you in there shoes you would did the samething because they go througth so much in mexico. But for me "EVERYBODY IS A IMMIGRA". Because everyone is from a different country or city or others place in so people go through a lot to not just mexican people. But if a book can said millions of words also the people the are really going through this now got millions of words to said too.... why because they are the main one the knows what they are going though everytime the they try to cross the board.

What i have learn about immigration is that people live a hard life in mexico that they want to come to USA to have a better life and to give there kids what there could not have. And us americans should not justice people them form there front cover because we dont know what they been through.

I leraned that the mexicans from yesterday really didnt get pay as much
as the other people do they have to living in a smaller one bedroom house
because they couldnt afford and kind of house because they really dont
have a budget to work with and something else i also learned that if their kids
were borned in america and they get cought for being here illegal they will be
deported and there kids with be sent to the stated and they will be their until
they are eight teen or other they will not have a choice but to stay their in wait

what i learnd about immigration was  that there all not bad people. because allot of them just want to live a normal like and allot of people just want to kill them in the border line they carry guns and so much more. allot of immigrants just come to us so they can make money and live life to the fullest but allot of americans just mak ther life so much harder so allot of fightsstart to happend so people die trying to get in america so if they just fight  and allot of americans drive them out of america .
           allot of immigrans come from mexico so they can just move on with there lifes and make money because there lifes in mexico is not good so comeing here is better and they just have allot of problems there so they come here and usa population becamehigher

What I learned about immigration

The things I learned about immigration was that they come here illegally because they are having a hard time in there country and are trying to make it better here. Another thing I learned about immigration was that not only mexacains did it but everyone back then immigrated here to make a better life and to get away from the british law. The immigrantes get payed less money and live in run down bug infested and have no food to eat.

This week I learned about illegal Mexicans in America. They get less pay than anyone in this country.Illegals live in small cramped places with alot family members and people. If anyone in there family dies they might not get to go back to there house to see there family. The illegals came here to get better jobs and oppurtunity for their family and themselves.

america never had laws about immigration since it was founded by immigrants and taken from the indians by immigrants. they come to ameica to leave there poor lifes behind to where they have. some live in houses that look just like there just ally ways and some just lived in shacks that were with no plubing or had no sanitary water.

this week I learned that immigrations are coming over to u.s.a and taking the people that live here jobs and it is not fare to everybody hat lives here

something i learn this week about immigration was nothing because i knew stuff about it cause my mom has this friend that is from Guatemala and she is not legal but her kids are my mom basically raised them they always staid at my mom house cause she worked and stuff and she really ain't know allot about raising kids and my mom did .my mom started off babysitting till they basically live with us until my mom started to complain because she is a mom she is appose to start acting like it my mom didn't want to call diffuse cause we care about the two kids so my mom gave her kids back and told her to own up to her responsibility . ihavent hered from them at all . i miss them though but its was nice to talk about immergration in this class .its a good topic to talk about. alot of friend that are mexican they are legal well atlest i think thay are :) but im done here so give me a A pluse

What ive learned about immigration this week. Iv learned that the mexicans were not allowed to come to america without papers thats considered as an illagle alleain. But americans can go over to mexico with just a passport. Mexicans try to come over to america because they try to get better jobs and want a better life.

The topic I am going to research and that interests me the most is racism. The reason I am so interested in this topic is because it is the 21st century and it is still alive! Racism is a very nasty and cruel thing, and it hurts many people. There are many people who walk around and ask so disgusting towards people with a different skin color than them. Many people thing racism was just back in the segregation days, and that its all over with now. However, that is not the case racism is still alive and kicking to this very day and it really upsets me. Another reason why I am interested in this topic is because I have had a few encounters of racism. People would stereotype me just because Im black. They think im ghetto, and live in the hood. When in fact Im not ghetto, I live in a house, and even though im not rich, im not poor either. I have been faced with racism ever since I was little since I went to a daycare that was predominately white. Racism is very painful and can stick with you. What I specifically want to know about racism is why is it still alive today? Why are people still so nasty towards people with different skin colors? Another thing I noticed is that the more you go down south the worse it gets, I was also wondering why that is. I guess that is something the world will never know, unfortunately.

I am going to research school activities. I want to research what goes into planing then and why are they important. I want to know who plans them. I am interested in it because I feel that our school does not have enough activities and they aren’t avalible to everyone. I feel that schools don’t think they are as important as “learning”. I want to learn why they aren’t as important as school subjects like math, english, history and science. I also would like to know how they help students. I want to know it students who join school activities develop better then those who do not. We all know that they help us be more active; but do sports help us mentally? I also wanted to know why they do not take creative intlligence more seriously. I would like to find web sites that have stats on my topic. I am hoping to find web sites that are school based. I am also going to use my text books to find more information. Why aren’t school activities (like art and music for example) taken as serious as school subjects (like math and english)?Why is intelligence in math and english considered more important than intelligence in the arts? Why isn’t art intelligence taken more seriously? Are all questions that I am hoping to find in my psychology book that I found a lot of information on creative intelligence. I hope to be able to find all this information to answer my questions.

The topic I am researching is Pandora’s Box. It is known to be a Greek myth. By the end of my research you will be able to learn all about the myth. Starting with where the myth was created. Who created the myth and what does this myth mean- what message is the writer trying to give the readers. I am very interested in the specific subject because i love to look up and research mythological topics. For example, I will watch a movie and it will have some kind of mythical story in it. After the movie i would always take time out to look it up and read all about it. I would either go to the library at school and on my free time to do some research on the myth. The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora, which contained all the evils of the world. When Pandora opened the jar, all its contents except for one item were released into the world. The one remaining item was Hope. Today, to open Pandora's box means to create evil that cannot be undone. In classical Greek mythology, Pandora was the first woman on Earth. Zeus ordered Hephaestus, the God of craftsmanship, to create her, so he did—using water and Earth. I will be finding out which evils were exactly in the “box”. Also, why did Zeus want to trick the two brothers Epimetheus and Prometheus. Another, i will be finding out why was the “box” and key separated between the woman and man. Pandora got the box and was never told to open it. Epimetheus got the key and was told never to open it.

My Essential Questions

The topic that I choose to do was about religion. I choose five essential questions that I felt would be creative. The reason for essential question is to make the people who are reading the eassy think outside the box. I like essential questions because it brings a subject to a deeper meaning then what would be the normal idea for a very interesting question. Normal a subject can end being and or having a deeper meaner based on the questions you have and how interested in the question you are that you start really thinking. I mde five what I to be really good and interesting question about religion. The first question I asked was how can religion affect a person’s life? The two little questions I used to help answer the first essential question were does religion make you want to change and what about religion make you want to change your ways? The second question I asked was what makes religion such a big deal in people’s life? The two little questions I used to help answer the second essential question were why is it that a person pushes another religion on you and why do religious people try to go to every public place to convince people to believe in their religion? The third question I asked was why is it that people feel their religion is better than others? The two little questions I used to help answer the third essential question were what make religious people think highly of themselves and what make one religion better than another? The forth question that I asked was what causes a religion to form? The two little questions I used to help answer the forth essential question were what’s the purpose of religion?what is it that makes people feel they have to worship in order to go on in life. The fifth question that I asked why are churches act competitively? The two little questions I used to help answer the fifth essential question were why do those in churches feel it’s better to spend more time trying to be better than others than to serve the one they worship and do churches feel they are more popular if they have the biggest church. I am interested in this topic because I want to look deeper into religion. I want to learn what is the thought process for religious people.

The topic im researching is the killing of trayvon martin. I strongly believe that this murder was because of racism. All the evidence and hings that were said concerning the death of seventeen year old trayvon martin , in my opinion all had to do with the color of his skin. Im totally against being racist, disliking, or treating someone different because of their skin color. I believe in this case justice ought to be served. This topic intrest me. As soon as I heard this news my heart felt as though it was sinking. I had so many questions. Questions like: whats gonna happen to this zimmerman guy?, who would be so evil as to take a life because of the complextion of their skin?, why are they taking so long to charge this man?, why do others who kill get sentenced to life or death and hes not even charged yet?, who gave him the authority to kill someone, let alone judge them? Popped up in my head. I was overwhelmed with emotions. The specific things im trying to learn about this topic are : whats gonna be the end result of this case? Will the parents ever feel like they got justice for their sons death? Will this change the view of people around the world? Will racism cease, or come to a end? Will people fight for trayvons right to have his life and not taking from him? I hope I will find out all of my questions.

Why should schools let high school students choose the option to leave early instead of picking electives? Well why do student want to leave school early? Well first off, a lot of kids have jobs and some schools have CO-OP but some don’t. Also, the schools that have CO-OP only allow you to leave if you job is related to your career program. Nowadays it is hard to find jobs especially related to a trade because no one wants to hire a kid fresh out of high school whose only training is a trade school. Allowing student to leave two periods early instead of forcing them to pick predecided electives would allow students to accept responsibility and work or do something productive with their time and if they couldn’t handle the responsibility then I could understand forcing them to stay in school. School is all about preparing students for the real world and allowing students to leave and accept real responsibility is a perfect example of preparing kids for the real world. After all that's all the real world is, working and paying bills. Another option for giving the students a little more freedom with elective would be free time to catch up on work. I remember back in middle and elementary school we used to have study hall, what ever happened to that? Study hall allowed students to either catch up on make-up work or homework or just relax, and it gave the teachers a chance to relax.

Immigration is a such a huge promblem in the U.S. People come over there boarder to sneak into the U.S. It not that they want problems or that they are trying to steal from American, but they are just trying to find a better life. We people as American find ourself looking at illegal immigration as people that trying to take our jobs, land, and food. But in realty they bearly get by with very little money to live with them self let alone a family. But what i have learn for the video is that even if there are illegal there still humans that are trying to live like the rest of us. We as Americans take being legal and free being forgranted. We dont know what they are going through or care what they may have be through. I see that other people think on the same line as this " If it not happening to me it not my problem". Which I can see why it may be such a strong reasoning of blaming the other race, it just much easyer to put the blame on someone else then trying to help them. That how i think other think at least.

This week i learn that immigrants come here with their familys to have a better life and for their children to have a good future and have good jobs.Immigrants are regular humanbeings mexico dont have houses and jobs like the United States do and alot of people in Mexico dont have alot of money and they want to come to the US cause they know we have alot of jobs every where cause they are tired of not having money for their familys.Also they ccome to the US and work and send money back to Mexico for their familys down their so that they can help them to get food and water for the children. Mexico dont have alot of jobs thats why people dont have alot of money down their and they dont have like real homes like we do and their tired of it thats why they jump over the boarder and they know it takes awhile to become a us cititzen.The people in the US dont relize thats the only reason to come over cause they think they are coming to take over are jobs but they really not they just need money like everyone else dose to help their family out and they are not different from anyone else they are regular people and thats what people need to relize.

Being that we have immigrants today coming to the us without proper documents and its ok but if we go to them its a problem why is that. Well the problem is that the immigrants come for one or two reasons one is for work two is for freedom we have freedom in the us. i learned alot of thing you shouldnt juge a book by its cover. by wachinh this video it made me understand why immigraion happens in america we have so much more then what others could ever have there human to we all have feelings the way they were living is the way my dog lives in my yard no one should ever have to live that way the feelings hurt to a parent when they cant give there children every thing they could ever have. In America theres people that live like they dont have nothing for me i see what they go though and it hurts me i dont care about where i lay my head at as long as i have a roof over my head i dont care what i eat as long as i have something to at . this video touched me in a way where i wish i coud help these people out. I feel sorry for them . This video should be showed all around the world so they know what being an immigrent is like it should so what so much people have to do to get what we we complan about having just saying i dont like people that complan about everything just think about people that wish they have just a little bit of what we have, Life is hard for us but its even harder for immigraions.

What i learned this week about immigration is that.When you are a immigrat u can not come over to the U.S or you cant have anything to deal wit the U.S but if you have all of your paper work right then you may do anything you want like come to the U.S and you may leave anytime u want.Also if your papers are right you can be in mexico and then come over to the U.S with out anyone saying something to you.

Immigration is a big thing in the United states of amercia, we break familys and good ''People" out of there homes. Coming over from the seas with illegal papers are some what undersatndable because of all the over population, but at the end of the day people are people and the county willl do what they want. If the people of the U.S all come together about this sitaution it would be a diffiernet story. I cant see myself in there shoes so i really dont know what it feels like looking outside in, some people come here to start a better life and get away from the kills, drug etc. It must feel real bad knowing that the other part of your family is some where else in the need of help. you cant do nothing about it.
