Macbeth vs Polanski

Shakespeare version of Macbeth and Polanski movie of Macbeth. The films ending is kind of different from that of the play. I think that the director of the play wanted to have the guests thinking. Even though Malcolm is crowned as Scotland's rightful king his come to an end speech is discarded in favour of an abrupt wordless scene showing his brother Donalbain returning from the exile. Throughout the entire story, Donalbain is shown as being jealous of Malcolm, as it maybe even more so than Macbeth was the jealous one. The ending as a result recasts the story as a closed boundary of action suggesting that the tragedy will be repeated again.

When is it ok to murder?

When is it okay to murder or when is it not okay? it is only okay to murder if they is out of control with power when they gain it or living in the name of the devil as in doing his work for him god has his people and the devil have his so believe it or not their are times it's okay to murder. when they put there self before their loving people and family then they deserve to be murder if you have explosion negative thoughts all the time to create destruction to people or to the world you deserve to be murder. But most of the time no one deserve to be murder everyone was put on this earth for a reason some might not realize that but there are and people dont believe it so they just live by the hi power rules and get tortured,abuse, or murder. it's not okay to murder when your innocent defenseless and been good all your life.

Sopa is kinda like 1984. They have some things in common. In 1984 they dont have much freedom and they contol what u watch and look up. If the law is passed we wont have the freedon to do what ever we want on the internet. This will make every one in the u.s. to feel like we are being controlled and watched. I feel like i should be able to look or search up what ever i want to with out any problems. This concerns me alot. If this law is passed who knows what else the government will try to get passed. Whats next a scenor on the tv? They are going to try to pass other stupid laws. Its all about money and thats y they pass stupid laws. Its all about the money.

Movie Ending vs. Book Ending- Macbeth

I think that the reason the movie of Macbeth was different from the book was that the director wanted to leave the audience with questions; like is Fleance going to follow in Macbeth’s footsteps? Will the same thing that happen to Macbeth happen to Fleance? Did Banquo tel Fleance about the witches? And will Fleance become king like the three witches told Macbeth and Banquo? Directors are always trying to make great movies and bring in big audiences to their movies; and I think this was the directors way of doing so. I think maybe he was looking at a possebility of doing a part 2. Maybe he was trying to leave the audience with that suspence.
From what I saw I think if there was to be a part two, Fleance would of probably done the same as Macbeth. Maybe this was the directors way of showing us that Fleance also had a dark side. Or that most people would react just or similar to how Macbeth acted if we were in his shoes, even though we are so quick to judge him. Which I think is a great way of shows this because as I, and probably others, were reading Macbeth we though of Fleance as a good guy; someone who wouldn’t do what Macbeth did, and this ending shows that even a good person can do bad things for power or become blind and mad with power. I would of liked to see a part 2 to Macbeth to see even what I think is true…

Macbeth

I wasnt here for this scene when he came in to the witches coven but i am going to take a best guess at what has happened in that scene. Maybe he was seeking that there is a way for him to become king just like Macbeth did or it could be that he could have visualized his father telling him that there are witches and that he could get his future read and become king in the future just like Macbeth did. Maybe he was also trying to seek revenge for his fathers death because he was angry of what happened. Or it could be that after everyone killed Macbeth and had to do what they had to do he probably killed everyone and went to te witches coven and tried to ask him what is in the future for him now that he killed these people because he could go somewhere else and no one would know that he has killed all of those people.

Fleance Heads to the Witches

At the end of Polanski's version of Macbeth Fleance goes to the witches' coven. By making Fleance go there Polanski makes the audience think about the things that might be running through Fleance's mind. I think that Fleance went to the witches' coven because his father might have told him about the prophecy the witches made during the first act: "Hail" "Hail" "Hail" "Lesser than Macbeth, and greater..." "No so happy, yet much happier..." "You shall father kings, yetnot be one yourself. So all hail, Macbeth and Banquo!"

If in fact Banquo had told his son of this prophecy then there is a chance that Fleance went there to find out information pertaining to the prophecy. He might have also gone there to avenge his father's death, because if the witches hadn't said anything then his father might still be alive, for it was the witches who planted the seeds of murder in great Macbeth's head.

In doing this, Polanski has changed what Shakespeare had originally meant to be the final scene of this extravagent play. Shakespeare had oringinally ended the play with a speech from Malcolm signifying that all is well, and as it should be within the fair country of Scotland. Polanski changed this to Fleance's arrival at the citches' coven. While this is an excellent way to end the movie we must acknowledge the fact that the original ending is better suited for the play. Polanski made it so that there is a small flicker of hope for a sequel to the movie when there is no way that there can be one. It also gives us some resolution and sparks our curiosity because it lets us know that Fleance definitely makes it out alive but it also makes us wonder whether the prophecy will come true.

Macbeth ending Book vs Movie

In the movie representation of Macbeth, the ending showed an extra scene where Fleance retrned to the witches coven. I think that there are two reasons for this, one to do with the story, and one just for movie purposes. I think that this scene is there to reiterate just how bad human will become just for the sake of power. I'm sure that everyone in the story now knows that it was the witches that sent Macbeth on his muderas rampage, but Fleance probablily wanted to see if they could predict his future, to see if he would abtain power. He probablily thinks if he thinks his plans out he won't turn out like Macbeth. And as far as the second reason why we got a cliffhanger ending inthe movie, is incase hollywood want to create a Shakespear like sequel to his book.
