The Statue of Liberty is a colossal neoclassical sculpture on Liberty Island in New York Harbor, designed by Frédéric Bartholdi and dedicated on October 28, 1886. The statue, a gift to the United States from the people of France, is of a robed female figure representing Libertas, the Roman goddess of freedom, who bears a torch and a tabula ansata (a tablet evoking the law) upon which is inscribed the date of the American Declaration of Independence, July 4, 1776. A broken chain lies at her feet. The statue has become an icon of freedom and of the United States.

The poem "give me your poor, your tired your weak; Your huddled masses yearning to be free" this meaning was about the people, a new begaining for immigrants and there way of life in American. Over the last two hundred years this poem seem to be true, but in the now of 2012 it doesn't seem to be as simple as it use too. Now it more about words then action. We the people of United States don't look at immigrats the same as "human beings", we look at them as some type of lower life form. I bet if the people of the U.S could step in we would shut down the system. but that what i think, the meaning of this poem lost it power it meaning. But it okay, because people wants to believe that there some type of help or hope. that the way as us humans want to think. we really dont look at reality we try to look at the smaller picture other then looking that the bigger way of picture of life.

"Give me your poor, your tired your weak;Your huddled messes yearning to be free." What i think about this quote is that america used to be somthing that its not rite now. And what i think about that is that america is not the same as it used to be. America in my oppinion has turn very selfish. i say that because America now dosent allow anyone they only allow immigrents that have a green card. But they dont change the quote couse beep some where people still trying to make it change to how it used to be before. So that is what i think about that quote and the reasion why they havent changed it.

As i fall threw wind of ma hreat i seek threw my eye that i saw the hope in the sky so i past by a young girl so i say hey wanna read this prompt its say give me your poor,your tired your weak; Your huddled masses yearning to be free.

 '"Give me your poor,your tired your weak;Your huddled masses yearning to be free"...well that was just false advertising because were doing the total opposite.We dont let others come to America unless there legal here I thought this was a free country well how we been treating immigrants its been shown other wise.Why are we treating immigrants any different then we do an average american citezen there a living human being they obviously moved there old homes for a purpose sp why put them back someone,some place they left?Think about the harm your putting on there life and there family.Lets say If something was to happen to American and we need to go to mexico or to any other states that we sent immigrants back to,there going to say you dont live here go back to where you came from.dont to others that you dont want done to yourself

''GIVE ME YOUR POOR, YOUR TIRED YOUR WAEK YOUR HUDDLE MASSES YEARNING TO BE FREE''  This quote dosent mean alot because of the over populations in American, thats why they are so many steps to get to the U.S its alot of Freedom in american but then again alot of immigrants will take those steps to get here. We just dont take everyone we take the best of the best. Being over populated is a big thing not enough materials for everyone to have. The stauscew of liberty wasnt made in america in the first place .

What i learn about immigration.....

What i had learn this past weeks about immigration the it's a really hard situation because they had to go  throughout a lot for the can't be immigrants. I also think the some of the immigrants come to the U.S to find better job's in support their family such as their self. But not all immigrants come for finding just job's but to make a better person then self, but we shouldn't  trust every immigrant because they may are not saying the true the why they are here for. Some of then are really want to be illegal because they cared of their family & want the best for then at all times & their self thats why they cross the board to another state. In for sample i wach this tv show about immigration went is immigrants leaving in another state & this man the he is a illegal in the U.S come to there house to see how they leave in go through a lot of stuff ,because they had kids the was illegal in the state but not then self in the 2 other kids in it's very hard for them to leave a life like that because the had to go throughout a lot this past years & everyday the comes by.The guy the went to stay with then he did't want immigrants in that state or anywhere alse, because for him it was't fear the his parents had it go through all that. At want point like he agreed about immigrants coming to another country but at the sametime he was't sure about his dession.
